Sancheti Institute of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and Sancheti college of Physiotherapy have always been working hard to give their best in patient care and education respectively.

Quality, Professionalism and Excellence all are imbibed in the goals of the institute.

A two days workshop on “EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT” has been organised keeping in view the Vision,Mission and Values of the Sancheti Hospitals.

The two days schedule has been prepared to provide an avenue for post graduate physiotherapists to not just develop most current clinical skills in best patient care and learn advances in Physiotherapeutics but also to acquire an experience in various aspects of administration apart from gaining academic knowledge.

This workshop involves participation of highly competent faculty having rich experience in their field.To highlight our founder President Dr.K.H.Sancheti and the very dynamic Executive Director Mrs.Manisha Sanghavi are amongst the top faculties apart from the others.

During the workshop a couple of important aspects like Management Skills,Leadership,Legal aspects,Documentation,Accreditation,Budget,Business Writing,Performance Reviews,Patient Satisfaction Survey and many such others will be covered.

The workshop will be conducted at Sancheti Health Care Academy(SHA) the academic arm of Sancheti Group.


To make the participants aware about the administrative aspects required for smooth functioning of the Physiotherapy Department.

To help the participants in gaining knowledge on certain aspects pertaining to their curriculum.

This workshop will provide an avenue for the participants to acquire administrative knowledge which will in turn help them plan and set up an independent Physiotherapy department.

What did you learn in the workshop?

What did you learn in the workshop?

Performance review should also be done for students for betterment but in the same way as it was shown in role play by making communication effective by making student fully comfortable. We all have been already communicating with patients but workshop taught how to communicate professionally. Acquired knowledge regarding documentation, business writing skills. All sessions were very informative.

All the sessions were up to the mark, informative, changed my perception towards professional behavior, documentation etc.

Time management

Content of the workshop and contribution from all the speakers is greatly appreciated. Personal and professional developmental skills in a simple and easy way. Workshop on safety- patient and staff (emergency fire escape) (patient transfer) can be conducted. Pilot Workshop has worked!!!

Speakers were approachable, interaction was free, Audio-visual aids used, really great and rewarding.

Technical issues and a little problem in time management

I got basic ideas about management related to finance and time. This will help me when I start my own setup and with experience I’ll understand it better. Also leadership qualities taught will help me in my set up. Group activities should be included as a part of a workshop by giving situations.

The knowledge given and the interactive session between speaker and us was very helpful.

Keep the lectures till 5 or be in time because it is so tiring to manage our saturation level. You should manage time according to the others also.

Efficient way to learn administration/management issues related in department setup, SHOW OFF (Appropriate way)(Dr. Gajanan) , Legal issues very good.

Sessions by Dr Ankit and Dr Gajanan were very interactive, periodic updates by Dr Vivek sir, Legal issues

Management skills were not very appropriate, could have been much better, Too many presentations, Some Speakers exceeded their time a lot.

Take ownership, Team work and leadership, Importance of CSI, PR and Documentation, Interpersonal relations, Preach before you Practice, Performance review to be done between student and teacher as well for better growth.

Nothing. I was expecting a lot to listen to K.H. Sancheti sir.

Leadership qualities, Professionalism, Management skills, Financial management, Documentation and personality development as a physiotherapist in different posts and roles. Different aspects, procedures and domains required that helps in smooth and efficient working of physiotherapy department.

    1. Thanks Dipti for your feedback. This time this workshop was only open to our MPT students. Next workshop will be in the month of March 2016 (Date not yet finalized). Future workshop will be Open to faculty and MPTs outside Sancheti group also.
